Self Esteem
In this assignment I chose to use the topic, Self Esteem. I have decided to use this topic because I have had friends that believe, they aren't the best for who they are, they have to change to make people like them or they wanted to fit in with the world. Knowing that I have experienced and seen this for myself, has gave me a clear idea of what Intend to do.
Proposal
In this assignment,I intend to research issues in peoples Self- Esteem and the way in which other people see them. I am going to get quotes from people I know who have had experiences in this topic and use them on my campaign posters. For my actual posters, I am going to attempt to get multiple parts of females, I.E Head, Chest, Stomach, Legs and feet, all from different kind of race, build and age. I am then going to attempt to merge them together so it looks like one person. I would like to try and get a message across from my posters, that no matter what you do or look like, you shouldn't be put down by what other people think of you as they; most probably won't be in your life forever.

My Personal Evalution
To do the set assignment I started thinking of what parts of a model body would give the biggest effect to my campaign poster, I then decided I will get a picture of the face on my main poster, this is because with the face you can share emotion with the viewer more intimately as they will get an expression straight away by just looking at the face. I have thought about putting my images on the right and side of a page and leaving the left with just a few words on to try and create an effect which is, 'Nothing Matters'. I would like to try get that message across to the audience who are suffering with this part of their life. Before I tried my own images, this is a tester I created to see if my idea would work and look ok.

I will look at some of these artists work and try and collect ideas of how they portray meanings with different techniques.
Research of Self Esteem
For my research on the whole of this topic, 'Self Esteem And Issues', I started looking at other campaign posters, in my recent research of this topic, I came across of the dove campaign and I got in depth with this topic. The way they are getting their message across is by aiming to parents or older people so they can try and stop it affecting them whilst they are young.

In my research I chose to look at this dove campaign poster;

Looking at this poster, linked with what I believe is the fact people try and change is because they don't like what they see in the mirror. This campaign poster works terrific with the message they are getting across, the way they have just put the message in as simple as they can gives it a simplistic look which adds to the message by saying be simple it doesn't matter what you look like.
The way this poster has been put together is very smart, all the different layers have been blended really well with the way they have combined the same women to make it look she is strangling herself. The colours used in this poster are pretty plain and simple which gives it the authenticated look.

My Tester Poster
Firstly, I found a good picture of the Artist, Nina Nesbitt and decided to use her face because she is pretty well known and people of a young adult age will look up to her as being perfect. I then cropped her face out and used it as my starting point of creating a body.
I then decided to use a female body builder as the upper body with more muscle then breasts. I chose this because most girls think that it is not nice for women to become as strong as men. I thought that this stereotype fits in with my topic pretty well as stereotypes could be what starts people changing the way they look, dress and speak.
For the stomach and lower part of the body, I found a model which typically most people, men and women, think is the best. I chose to add this because it is blending with the top half of the body weirdly and maybe will get to the viewers that nothing is wrong with them at all.
For the feet, I didn't think I needed to find a typical type of style so I found a model who has very expensive shoes on, this made me think that people who are not as fortunate as others may think this is clearly aimed towards them but, it is trying to express that you shouldn't be put down by what other people wear.
Finally I added blue eyes to the face of Nina, I simply added this because out of 6 people I asked, what is their favourite colour eye, 5 of them said blue eyes are their favourite colour. I also kept the other eye as normal to express the meaning again, that you shouldn't be put down of what other people think.
Here is my final outcome of the tester I tried. I decide to use the words, 'No-One Is Perfect' because I think that it is the strongest quote to show what the poster is about. I also tested with half the poster black and the other half white which gives it like the effect, doesn't matter what race/colour/gender or age you are.
